The Soundcore P31i are new earbuds that have not yet been officially announced, but AnkerInsider appears to have gotten its hands on some exclusive information. Neither the source (AnkerInsider) nor the information give any reason for doubt in regard to credibility. Accordingly, the P31i wireless earbuds will be listed under the product number D1202 and are said to be both affordable and well-equipped. They are expected to launch on the US market "later this year" for $50.
The P31i earbuds are said to support LDAC, which allows for wireless streaming of high-resolution audio at up to 990 kbps, offering higher quality than standard codecs. This is not a given in this price range. Google Fast Pair and Bluetooth 6.1 are supported, as is simultaneous connection to two devices. ANC is on board, and there is also a transparency mode. The drivers are 11 millimeters in diameter, which is not typical for earbuds, ultimately due in part to their design. An AI assistant is advertised, and live translation is also said to be possible in 100 languages.
The maximum battery life is stated to be 10 or 8 hours (with ANC); without ANC and with intermediate charging this increases to a specified 50 hours. The earbuds themselves feature touch surfaces for music playback control and are said to meet IP55 requirements, meaning they are protected against damage from dust and water ingress.
