Garmin has updated many of its devices lately after announcing the August 2025 Feature Update just over a week ago. To recap, the company has introduced new stable updates for the Fenix 8, Forerunner 970, Instinct 2, the Instinct 3 and associated smartwatches since revealing its latest Feature Update. On top of that, it has delivered substantial updates for its cycling computers, including last year's Edge 1050 (curr. $699.99 on Amazon).
Now, Garmin has turned to its older high-end smartwatches in the form of a new beta update for the Enduro 2, Epix 2, Fenix 7, Marq Gen 2 and Quatix 7. For context, these smartwatches last received a stable update in June when Garmin released System Software 22.06. In the intervening period, the company has distributed numerous beta updates as it works towards delivering a new stable build at some stage.
After over a three-week wait, Garmin has now started rolling out a fresh beta update as Beta Version 23.16. The fourth v23.xx build so far, Beta Version 23.16 is said to address two issues primarily that could cause CT10 sensor pairing to fail and Hunt activity navigation to fail. Currently, it is unclear when Garmin will finalise v23.xx development. However, the jump from v23.08 to v23.16 suggests the company could be close to issuing a stable build based on its recent changes.
