More Anker soundcore open-ear earbuds are on the way. The ‘C50i’ name of the leaked earbuds indicates that they build on the C40i, which were released in October 2024. However, the newer model appears to have a different design.
Leaked images of the soundcore C50i earbuds, shared by AnkerInsider on X.com, show a round in-ear piece with a rectangular shaped element to sit on the outer ear, with a slimmer joint connecting the two. Also referred to as model D1101, these new earbuds are expected to have 12 mm drivers with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response range.
Other rumored features include 16 Ω impedance, LDAC support and the Multipoint connection function, making it easier to switch between listening to content on your laptop and phone. These soundcore earbuds are also expected to offer a live translation tool, compatible with 100 languages. Plus, they will support Bluetooth 6.1 with a 15 m (~50 ft) range, with LED indicators to show pairing status.
The soundcore C50i are slated to have an eight hour runtime in a single charge, or 32 hours with the charging case. A 10 minute charge should provide another two hours of playback time, and the 580 mAh charging case battery recharges via a 5W USB-C input. Anker’s soundcore C50i open-ear earbuds are expected to be released in black and white colorways in the US before the end of 2025. Rumors suggest they will retail for between $49.99 and $79.99, which would make them significantly cheaper than the C40i earbuds, which retail for $119.99 (curr. $79.99 at Amazon).
