The Pixel Buds Pro 2 is nearing its first year anniversary soon, and while Google has no plans of launching a successor soon (not that it needs one yet), it has been reported that there will be a new color option that matches the soon-to-be-announced Pixel 10 series.
Ahead of the debut of this new colorway, Google has slashed the price of the Pixel Buds Pro 2. The earbuds which usually sell for $229 are now down to $189, which is a $40 discount. The discount applies to all existing color options which includes Hazel, Porcelain, Peony, and Wintergreen. The deal is live on the Google Store and can also be purchased on Amazon for $189. Those in Germany can get the Peony and Wintergreen colors for €203.15 instead of €249.
While this is not the lowest price the Pixel Buds Pro 2 have sold for, it is still worth grabbing as the price is expected to go back up shortly before the new colorway launches. According to the Google Store, the deal runs until the 16th of August which is a few days before the August 20 Pixel launch event.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 have a lot to offer for $189. For starters, they are lighter and smaller which makes them more comfortable to wear than their predecessors, and with the stabilizer, they can stay locked in. They also now have a processor, the Tensor A1, that handles active noise cancellation (ANC).
Other features are a 5-band EQ, support for Find My Device, hands-free Google Gemini, IP54 dust and water resistance, conversation detection, in-ear detection, and wireless charging support. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 have a battery life of up to 8 hours on a single charge and 30 hours with the case, but with ANC off, the battery life goes up to 12 hours and 48 hours respectively.
