Chinese ODM Sixunited recently unveiled a laptop with an OLED panel and AMD's Ryzen AI Max Strix Halo chips. Before that, it showed off a mini-PC with the same hardware. Now, it has something for DIY PC builders with its STHT1 motherboard. It measures 170 mm x 170 mm and can be mounted in any standard mini-ITX case.
As is the case with other Strix Halo boards, the LPDDR5X memory will be soldered and thus not upgradable. The Sixunited STHT1 supports up to 128 GB memory and two M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs. An additional M.2 slot allows for the addition of a Wi-Fi module. A 19-Volt (2x2 ATX) DC input will power the motherboard.
For I/O, the Sixunited STHT1 offers two configurations: 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C + 2x USB2.0 type-A or 1x USB3.2 Gen2 Type C (data+15W PD) +1x USB3.2 Gen1 Type-A + 2x USB2.0 Type-A. They can be supplemented with an HDMI 2.1 port, one DP/VGA/COM port, a 3.5 mm audio/microphone jack and a gigabit Ethernet port.
Unfortunately, Sixunited hasn't specified how much each STHT1 motherboard will cost. While individual PC builders can use it for a mini-ITX build, it is primarily intended for OEMs to incorporate into their designs.
