HP has made the Z2 Mini G1a available to purchase. This Strix Halo mini PC was first introduced at CES 2025, and later it became available across the EU and UK. Now, one of the configurations of the system is available to purchase on the official US site.
To be specific, the config that's currently available on the HP online store comes with the Ryzen AI Max Pro 380, which comes with the Radeon 8040S iGPU. The company has paired this Strix Halo APU with 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 8533 MT/s and 512 GB PCIe 4 storage. It's available at $1,999 on the official store.
As for the other variants, the US HP store still lists them as out of stock, but they are available to pre-order on B&H. The config with the Ryzen AI Max Pro 385 starts at $2,184.46, while the one with the Ryzen AI Max Pro 390 has a starting pre-order price of $2,351.72.
There's a configuration with the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 395 available as well, and it starts at $2,887.95 on B&H. All these configurations are available with different RAM and storage combinations, and they can be paired with up to 128 GB of memory and 2 TB of storage.
For those who missed our CES 2025 coverage, this AMD Strix Halo mini PC also comes with a rich selection of connectivity ports. To be specific, it has the following port configuration:
- 2x Thunderbolt 4
- 3x 10 Gbps USB Type-A
- 1x full-function USB Type-C
- 2x 480 Mbps USB Type-A
- 2x Mini DisplayPort 2.1
- 1x 10GbE LAN
- 1x headphone and audio combo jack
