Shelly Smart Control app versions 3.69.0 and 3.69.1 have arrived. Available for iOS and Android users, as well as users of the web app at control.shelly.cloud, this release brings several new features.
Firstly, in version 3.69.0, there is a new Energy Net Metering tool for Energy Meter (EM) Shelly devices like the Shelly EM Gen3 and the Shelly Pro 3EM (120A version curr. $128.99 at Amazon). This allows users to check their net metering, when unused energy is sent to the local grid. Enabled via User Settings > Shelly Labs, the tool could help you understand the balance between your energy generation and consumption.
Shelly suggests that it is now easier to back up and restore devices using settings from an existing device. Another new feature is a one-off timer for a device, so it can be automatically switched on or off after a set period. The ‘delay’ feature is now compatible with more action types like sceners and alarms, and scene calculations can now use voltage, temperature and humidity data. On top of this, there are said to be improvements, such as refreshed pop-ups and modals, and add-ons for enhanced power button controls.
The more recent version 3.69.1 update fixes issues linked to energy values for the Shelly PM Mini Gen3 and the net metering toggle on the in-app energy statistics charts. The complete change log for both of these updates can be found in the Shelly forum.
