Samsung will launch One UI 4 beta testing this month, starting with the Galaxy S21 series. Ahead of that, we look at what devices people should expect Samsung to update to its next OS, which will be based on Android 12. Over 70 devices should be covered, including older and mid-range models.

Samsung has stepped up its game recently regarding software support for older devices. Only recently, Galaxy S and Galaxy Note flagships would only receive two major updates, trailing the likes of Apple, Google and OnePlus. Last year, the company announced that devices would see an additional major update, starting with the Galaxy S10 series. Subsequently, Samsung has committed to delivering four or five years of security patch updates to some devices.

Based on Samsung's estimates, over 70 devices should be eligible for One UI 4 and, by extension, Android 12. While the company has not confirmed when stable One UI 4 builds will reach people, beta testing will commence later this month. Supposedly, Samsung will start with the Galaxy S21 series, which currently features the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy S21 Ultra until it announces the Galaxy S21 FE.

All other models will receive One UI 4 beta eventually, too. In advance of an official announcement, we have compiled a list of devices that Samsung is expected to upgrade to One UI 4 and Android 12. Please note that Samsung has not approved this list, but it only contains devices no older than the Galaxy S10 series. We have separated the devices by series. You can view each series by pressing the corresponding arrow button.
