Samsung Galaxy S26 launch rumored to be postponed by months due to massive delays

It's a well-known phenomenon. Rumors about delays for Samsung's next camera flagships start circulating right on time for the start of fall. Theoretically, there could be more to 2025 than in previous years, following the recent announcement that Samsung canceled the slim Galaxy S26 Edge at the last minute due to the disappointing sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge and intends to bring back the Galaxy S26 Plus as a replacement.

As a Vietnamese leaker has already suggested, this could indeed lead to launch delays and result in either a split launch or a later Galaxy Unpacked event. According to Greek website Techmaniacs, the Galaxy S26 launch isn't even scheduled until March 2026, a delay of about two months compared to the usual Galaxy Unpacked event in January of each year.

However, doubts about this rumor are certainly justified, as SamMobile points out, especially since the website hardly goes into detail about the reasons for the much-delayed launch. In general, we would not classify the source as particularly reliable, so skepticism is definitely warranted. Even a February launch would not be unusual for Samsung, as the Galaxy S23 generation was released on February 17, 2023, and it was not until the Galaxy S24 that the Galaxy Unpacked event moved to January.
