The S25 Edge is the latest and thinnest addition to the Samsung Galaxy line of Android smartphones. Despite its apparent fragility, it has not been exempt from the famous JerryRigEverything battery of torture tests. Can its titanium frame save it from the fate of the similarly slim iPad Pro?

The Galaxy S25 Edge has been unveiled as "the thinnest Samsung phone ever made" at 5.8 millimeters (mm) in depth, and also probably the lightest of its class at just 163 grams (g).

Despite its apparently less than substantial presence, it is now available on Amazon at nearly the same price as the flagship S25 Ultra, despite its total lack of an S Pen, a third rear camera or even an anti-glare screen.

Part of that premium cost is due to its titanium-augmented frame, which, along with its new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 display glass, helps confer class-leading IP68-rated dust and water resistance on the ostensibly delicate new smartphone.

It is apparently also as durable as some other Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered smartphones of 'normal' girth, passing the JerryRigEverything scratch, burn and bend tests with the same level of nonchalance as the 8.8mm Oppo Find X8 Ultra

Accordingly, anyone hoping for the "glorious carnage" of a whole new Bendgate involving the Galaxy S25 Edge might end up disappointed.
