The Find X8 Ultra has been re-designed to look more like an iPhone in 2025 - albeit one with a massive round central camera hump with quad 50MP rear cameras, 2 of which are periscope lenses with up to 6x optical zoom.
Those who might prefer it as a Snapdragon 8 Elite- and ColorOS 15-powered alternative to the 16 Pro Max in the United States or Europe will be disappointed as it is not officially available here (although those in the latter region can pick one up for €957 via TradingShenzhen).
Its absence from the global smartphone market is reportedly more due to Oppo's choices than its not being "allowed" there, as Zach Nelson of the JerryRigEverything YouTube channel seems to think.
The vlogger has made certain of the X8 Ultra's durability, however, finding that its new metallic mid-frame did make some unsettling noises on being subjected to Nelson's famous bend test, whereas its Hasselblad-branded 'twin' the OnePlus 13 - which is currently available on Amazon - did not.
The top-end handset's 6.82-inch 1440p 120Hz AMOLED display did remain fully operational and intact at the end of the video, however, and could even be taken apart and put back together with relative ease.
Therefore, it seems that the Find X8 Ultra is reasonably robust, and can be repaired even if it proves not to be in the long term.
