Samsung Galaxy M15 5G specs and battery size seemingly confirmed ahead of launch
Samsung is projected to launch a smartphone that looks almost exactly like the Galaxy A15 5G it already sells on Amazon (for $199 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage today), and with most of the same specs too. However, the apparent duplicate is now all but confirmed to deliver its signature Galaxy M-series edge on its eventual launch.
The device in question is the SM-M156B/DS, or "Samsung Galaxy M15 5G", which has now popped up on the FCC database with the same support for Wi-Fi 5, NFC and Bluetooth as the A15 5G. However, it is also now confirmed to pack a battery called the EB-BM156ABY with a potentially significant difference between it and that of the A-series device.
Having been assessed as having 5,880mAh of rated capacity by South Korean regulator DEKRA, it empowers Samsung to market the Galaxy M15 5G as another 6,000mAh smartphone in 2024, as opposed to 5,000mAh for the A15 5G.
Then again, it will once again charge at no more than 25W. Accordingly, it looks all the more like the Galaxy M15 5G (or F15 5G (SM-E156B/DS), as it might be known in some regions) will run One UI 6 with the same MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC of the Galaxy A15, yet be the larger of the two in terms of battery size.
