The Galaxy A06 is a smartphone that can be picked up for as little as $99.99 on Amazon thanks to its lack of 5G and third rear camera. However, it seems it might get a second version with one of those features soon.
The Galaxy M05 was a veritable clone of the A05 that launched in countries such as India in 2024. However, it seems it will have a successor with upgraded specs, as its alleged model number (SM-M066B/DS) suggests.
Those familiar with Samsung's typical naming schemes might spot that the "M06" most likely refers to a device that will be called the Galaxy M06 on its launch, and that it will be 5G rather than 4G/LTE-only based on the presence of another 6 rather than a 5 thereafter.
The 'B' often denotes an India-specific SKU of a given device, while the DS suffix usually hints at a dual-SIM model. Interestingly, the Bureau of Indian Standards has just registered the model number alongside the nearly identical SM-E066B/DS, which may or may not hint that the "M06 5G" is a twin to the rumored F06.
The F05 itself differed slightly from its M- and A-series clones to debut as Samsung's first Android smartphone with a vegan leather back for under $100 - it will be interesting to see if its alleged predecessor will have the same type of design.
