Realme Note 50 tipped to launch as super-budget Unisoc-powered Android smartphone
One of Realme's first Note-series smartphones has broken cover, in the form of a new Geekbench listing for a device called the RMX3834. However, rather than being the potentially mid-range Redmi-threatening Dimensity 7050-powered handset of a very recent leak, it barely cracks 400 in terms of single-core scores with a 1.82GHz Unisoc processor.
Realme's RMX3834 also has 4GB of RAM and runs Android 13. Its existence has also just been validated by the NBTC, which has registered it as a 4G/LTE-only smartphone called the Note 50. Nevertheless, its reportedly impending launch in the Philippines might help explain the OEM's plans for its new series.
Going by an open letter dropped by Sky Li on Twitter, the Note 50 may be the first of a line of smartphones intended to expand Realme's reach throughout the Android smartphone market, perhaps down to the $100 or less bracket.
Accordingly, the Note 50 is now thought to launch as something very like the Realme C53 (currently around the INR 10,000 (~$120) point on Amazon.in) but without the "segment-first" high-res rear cameras.
