It has been reported that sales in China of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones have exceeded over 100 million yuan in just one minute. At the current exchange rate, that is equivalent to over US$14.1 million. The new flagship smartphones have only just been launched and look set to be the smartphone world’s current hottest item.

The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones have just been released and we have already reported about the somewhat irritating pricing system for the flagships depending on regional market. However, buyers in China have been swooping in to pick up the OnePlus 8 series phones at a blistering rate.

According to data apparently collated through both offline and online retail sites, OnePlus enjoyed sales of its latest flagship series in excess of 100 million yuan (~US$14,138,677) in a single minute. If you total up the domestic prices for the four OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro variants you can work out an average price of 4,999 yuan, which suggests over 20,000 units were sold in 60 seconds.

This is an incredible start for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro and the Chinese OEM will be likely delighted with this specific statistic. If the new flagships can rack up such staggering sales figures in a single minute then there should be some impressive numbers coming in over the next days and weeks.
