OnePlus 15 to feature slimmer bezels than Xiaomi 17 and tougher build than iPhone 17 Pro

OnePlus is getting ready to launch its first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phone, the OnePlus 15. While the company hasn't confirmed the exact launch date yet, it's expected to be unveiled in China in mid-October 2025. Ahead of the official launch, the brand has now confirmed that its upcoming smartphone will sport a display with thinner bezels than the Xiaomi 17.

To be precise, the OnePlus 15 is claimed to sport 1.15 mm bezels on all four sides, and in comparison, the Xiaomi 17 is marketed to feature a display with 1.18 mm bezels. While the difference isn't big, the slimmer bezels on OnePlus's flagship should offer a more immersive viewing experience.

The company also claims that the Sand Dune OnePlus 15 will feature a chassis that's made of "aerospace-grade nano-ceramic metal." It's said to boast a toughness that's 134% harder than titanium, 344% harder than regular anodized aluminum, and 223% harder than stainless steel.

So, per OnePlus's description, this chassis material of the OnePlus 15 makes the phone much resistant to damage than the iPhone 17 Pro, which features a heat-forged aluminum unibody enclosure. The company didn't specify whether the chassis material would remain the same in all the offered color options.

OnePlus further highlights that its upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship will offer a comfortable grip, thanks to the "small arc edge" and "skin-friendly" coating. Among the other newly revealed design highlights are a "golden R corner" for comfortable one-hand use and a minimalist camera island for a sleek look.
