Ever since their launch, the Apple iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max have been in the news for one reason or another. For example, the iPhone 17 Pro series is being widely criticised by users and creators alike for its aluminium frame, which allegedly gets scratched quite easily.
However, people are also praising it for its powerful new chip with a significantly improved GPU, better thermal stability thanks to the upgraded vapour chamber, and its ability to run AAA games without throttling. Some users have even pushed its limits further by attaching multiple SSD coolers to achieve a form of active cooling.
And now, another alleged issue with the iPhone’s camera system has come to light. Since Apple moved the flash away from the camera cluster to the opposite end in the new iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max series, a new problem has reportedly emerged as a result.
Instagram marcustechnology pointed out that when using the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max camera flash, it generates a shadow over the subject, making the footage look off. This isn't an issue with any other iPhone series because the flash has always been next to the camera.
While shooting with the iPhone 17 Pro series, “it kind of looks like someone is holding a light from the corner, and it’s honestly super annoying,” according to the creator.
