OnePlus is gearing up to launch its first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship phone, the OnePlus 15. The company has recently showcased the design highlights of the upcoming smartphone, and one of the pictures from the teasers may have spilled the device's Chinese launch date.
This picture under the spotlight shows off the display of the OnePlus 15, highlighting the display's slimmer bezels. Interestingly, it shows the date October 27 on the screen, which aligns with the rumored launch timeline of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 flagship.
It's also worth mentioning that OnePlus has already started to take pre-orders for its upcoming phone in China, suggesting that the Chinese launch is indeed on the horizon. As for the global debut, while the company hasn't formally announced anything about it, outlets like CNET and Tom's Guide reported that the international launch is set for November 2025.
For those who missed our previous coverage, OnePlus recently revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 smartphone will feature a display with 1.15 mm bezels, which is slimmer than the 1.18 mm screen bezels of the Xiaomi 17. The recent teasers have further confirmed that the phone will come with an "aerospace-grade nano-ceramic metal" mid-frame, which is touted to be stronger than the chassis of the iPhone 17 Pro series.
The OnePlus 15 is also rumored to be a bit more affordable than its predecessor in China, which could also make it cheaper than the last-gen flagship in the international market (512 GB curr. $929.99 on Amazon).
