The OnePlus 11R - or Ace 2, depending on location - is now officially slated to launch as a new Android smartphone with the same battery and charging tech as the OEM's latest flagship. The upcoming R-series variant is also now assured of a 120Hz "Super Fluid Display" and a Hyperboost Gaming Engine; then again, it has now been revealed to be compromised in some ways relative to its more premium 11-series sibling.

The Ace 2 and 11R have now finally revealed themselves to be the Chinese- and Indian- market versions of the same OnePlus smartphone respectively in their latest official teasers.

The devices are now even slated to launch in the same new pale green color, with an additional black option in the case pf the Ace 2, at least. They are also now being promoted as performance-focused, with a side order of 'affordable option' in the latest India-specific teasers.

To this end, the 11R is now officially set to debut with a 120Hz "Super Fluid" Display, kept on with the same 5,000mAh 100W battery of its flagship sibling. However, those hoping for anything like LTPO may be disappointed, as OnePlus has now conceded that the panel will cut costs with LTPS technology instead.

In fact, it is now officially slated to launch as an "ADFR 2.0" screen, which entails older 40-120Hz frame-rate adaptations, (controlled by a version of OxygenOS also rated for the OEM's latest GPA 4.0-powered Hyperboost Gaming Engine feature) rather than newer, more advanced 1-120Hz adaptive switching.

OnePlus asserts that the 11R's display will be "HyperTouch"-augmented nonetheless, a new buzzword that may hint at either an elevated touch-sampling rate or up-to-date PWM dimming.

These features may help further distinguish the new device from the 10T, as they have also now been revealed to have the same SoC.

They might well have the same RAM and internal storage specs too, although OnePlus has equipped the 11R with "RAM-Vita", an AI-boosted take on RAM re-allocation also found in the flagship 11.

Ironically, the Ace 2 and 11R have yet to showcase their displays in any of their almost identical teasers, thus keeping the fire of speculation that it might switch down to a brand-first 1.5K in resolution burning.

The Ace 2 will be first to put it out for good, as it will launch on February 7, 2023 at 14:30 (07:30 CET/12:00 IST) in Beijing, whereas the 11R will debut later that same day at 19:30 IST alongside the rest of OnePlus' latest product drop for its market, the flagship 11 included.
