Samsung: Samsung updates its X series of laptops – gives the Core i3 ULV edge

The premium stylish laptop line from the Asian electronics giant will have the power of Intel Core i3 ULV processor now – along with DDR3 memory
Samsung quietly upgrades its X series of premium laptop line with the Intel Core i3 Ultra low voltage processors. These chips will increase the performance significantly keeping the overall energy consumption low. They are not as fast as the desktop Core i3 chips but do the job at its level.
The 11.6-inch X180 will be powered by the Core i3-330M processors with a clock speed of 1.2GHz, along with the Intel GMA graphics card, 3GB DDR3 RAM and 320GB hard disk. The bigger sibling, called the X430 which, you guessed it right – the successor of X420 with a big leap from the GMA to a dedicated GeForce 310M graphics card.
Engadget also reports of an AMD version expected with a 1.7GHz Athlon II Neo K125 chip, 3GB memory and an ATI Radeon 4225 graphics card. This one should cost equivalent of $647 when it hits Europe. Pricing and availability of the other two models are not known yet.
