Have you noticed the increased number of obscure Android tablet makers of late? Here’s another one – this tablet called Flatpad A10 is from China which comes as no surprise considering the east Asian giant’s increased dominance over the portable notebook manufacturing sector.

The Flatpad A10 sports an unusual 10.2-inch resistive touch-enabled screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. This is fine, but a 256MB memory and only 2GB of internal memory does not do justice to a 10-inch system and $285 (almost) pricetag. No worries in the processor department though with presence of the commendable 1GHz ARM Cortex A8. I just wished there were more memory for some multimedia operations. The 2400 mAh battery should give a manageable battery life, but I don't expect pleasant surprises.

The A10 has the standard I/O ports including a MicroSD slot. It supporst Wi-Fi but no mention of 3G was found. Although it runs Android 2.1 but you can expect an update to Froyo this month – as reported by Shanzai.com.
