Research in Motion’s BlackPad will be launched in November which is going to bring challenges to the Tablet market
Research In Motion, which is well known as the Blackberry maker, is gearing up to launch their latest BlackPad tablet to the market in November. This launch from RIM is a challenge to the Apple’s iPad. As informed by Bloomberg, the tablet will have a 9.7-inch display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. You can connect to the internet on the BlackPad by connecting with a Blackberry handset over the Bluetooth. The gadget will have two cameras which is a necessary integration, obviously one at the front and one at the back for photo snaps and video conferencing with the device respectively.
Now, the most important factor is the price of the tablet. If reports are to be believed, it might cost you about $499 which is nearly same as the iPad. One important prospect to note is the availability of apps; when you buy any tablet you will definitely buy the one which offers maximum number of apps. There are around 250,000 third party apps for iPad and around 6000 apps for Blackberry devices. It might take a while for BlackPad to grab the tablet market, so they are planning to integrate BlackPad with Blackberry handsets where you can view the contents of your Blackberry handsets on a bigger display. However it goes, It is indeed a welcome alternative to iPad.
