New Xiaomi Washing Machine Pro arrives with Blue Oxygen feature

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Washing Machine Pro Blue Oxygen Washing and Drying 12kg in China. This white good has a range of smart features and is said to be particularly good at removing stains thanks to new technology.

This Blue Oxygen feature is said to use active oxygen, also known as ozone, to enhance the machine’s stain removing and brightening abilities. There is also high temperature steam cleaning, and according to the product page, it can remove up to 90% of pet hair. As suggested in its name, the Mijia Washing Machine Pro can wash up to 12 kg (~26.4 lbs) of clothes at a time and can dry loads weighing up to 9 kg (~19.8 lbs). 

Other features include a high clearing ratio of 1.2 and smart low-temperature drying. Users can choose from 30 washing and drying cycles, with some settings specifically for wools, silks and down jackets, and a 15-minute quick wash. These can be selected on the integrated touch panel, in the Mijia app or with Xiao AI voice commands. Plus, HyperOS Connect allows you to link the washing machine to other smart home devices. The machine has a dark gray finish and measures 598 x 850 x 610 mm (~23.5 x 33.5 x 24.0 inches)

The Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro Blue Oxygen Washing and Drying 12kg is now available in China for CNY 2,999 (~$416). It seems unlikely that this product will officially launch in Europe, as it would be the first Xiaomi washing machine for this market. However, the company already sells other smart home products here, like the Smart Plug 2 (curr. €16.55 at Amazon.de).
