Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Vertical 3 HP in China. It is marketed as providing rapid cooling and heating to your whole home. However, the product page states that it is suited to an area of around 40 m² (~431 ft²) or smaller.
The new Mijia Air Conditioner has an airflow rate of 1,752 m³ (~61,871 ft³) per hour, with an 181 mm (~7.1 inches) wide air outlet for a 115° air supply angle. According to Xiaomi, you can feel the airflow as far as 13 m (~42.7 ft) away. The device is said to start cooling in 40 seconds or begin heating in 80 seconds, with users able to set the temperature between -32 to 60°C (~-26 to 160°F).
Another feature of this air conditioner is a self-cleaning mode, which includes a 56°C (~133°F) sterilization setting. It also has Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, meaning it can be linked to the brand’s other smart home devices, and remotely controlled via the brand’s app or with Xiao AI voice commands. Plus, the company has stated that there will be future over-the-air (OTA) updates. The vertical internal unit has a metallic casing and measures 346 x 1,868 x 434 mm (~13.6 x 73.5 x 17.1 inches).
The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Vertical 3 HP is now available in China for CNY 4,999 (~$694), though its RRP is CNY 5,599 (~$777). As a reminder, Xiaomi has yet to launch any of its smart air conditioners in Europe, though it sells other cooling devices like the Smart Standing Fan 2 Pro (curr. €124.89 at Amazon).
