New Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Plus Seat accessory appears

Xiaomi has launched the Electric Scooter 5 Plus Seat in the Philippines. As its name suggests, this accessory is designed for the new Electric Scooter 5 Plus, which was recently launched in this country.

The Scooter 5 Plus Seat allows a rider to sit rather than stand while travelling. It is said to have an ergonomic seat cushion to make the ride more comfortable, and you can adjust the height of the seat between 71 and 82 cm (~28.0 and 32.3 inches) to further enhance your comfort. It is worth noting that there is no shock absorption in the seat post, though the scooter had a dual-spring front shock absorber and larger 12-inch tires to provide some damping. 

The seat post is made from aluminium alloy, which is said to be durable, supporting loads up to 120 kg (~265 lbs). It has a charcoal gray color to match the scooter and will add 3.1 kg (~6.8 lbs) to the weight of the e-scooter. It is mounted to the chassis of the scooter with screws.

In the Philippines, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Plus Seat retails for PHP 5,499 (~$95). The accessory has also been spotted on the brand's global website, indicating that it could be released alongside the new e-scooter in other markets.
