Govee has announced the Outdoor Projector Lights on its sites in the US and the EU. This new product with model number H7073 appears to build on the original Outdoor Projector Light (model H7070), which was released in late 2024. It is designed to project colored dynamic lighting effects onto the side of your home.
The upcoming Outdoor Projector Lights were recently added to the brand’s US and EU ‘Coming Soon’ pages. This new model is said to feature two light sources, like their predecessor. The teaser lists a “high brightness aurora pattern”, layered lighting effects mimicking the northern lights. However, it is unclear whether this new model will be brighter than the original. Also mentioned are clear laser patterns, enabling you to cast pictures onto the side of your home. It is said to offer over 50 preset lighting effects, which users should be able to access via the Govee Home app.
Govee suggests that it offers a large coverage area, though an exact measurement is not provided; for context, the original Outdoor Projector Light is said to have a 255 m² (~2,745 ft²) coverage area. Based on this description, it is unclear how the new model will differ from its predecessor. However, an image at Amazon (above) suggests a slightly different design, with a blue ring around the first light source. Plus, a filing in the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) database confirms that this device will support the Matter protocol, allowing integration with a wide range of smart home ecosystems.
The new Govee Outdoor Projector Lights are scheduled to be released in the US on September 19th, and in the EU on September 22nd. The price of this product has yet to be announced; as an indication, the original Govee Outdoor Projector Light has an $129.99 RRP (curr. $99.99 at Amazon with a coupon).
