Casio is about to launch three new G-Shock GBM-2100A watches in Japan. These timepieces were rumored earlier in 2025 and will join older models like the GBM-2100-1A, which were released in May 2024. Alongside the report of the Japanese launch, these products have also been spotted at a US retailer.
The G-Shock GBM-2100A-2B has a blue dial with a positive or light background digital display. Meanwhile, the G-Shock GBM-2100A-4B has a purple dial, and the G-Shock GBM-2100A-8B has a gray dial, each with a negative or dark display. Each dial has a rectangular tiled pattern, surrounded by a stainless steel bezel and accompanied by a black resin band.
Features of these GBM-2100A watches include Bluetooth, with support for the Casio Watches smartphone app. The models offer Tough Solar charging to extend the watch’s battery life, and there is also a power saving mode. Users can choose from world time zones for 38 cities, and there is a home city swap function. There is also a 1/100th second stopwatch, a 1-second countdown timer and five daily alarms. Plus, there is a double LED backlight to help you read the watch in low lighting, and a hands shift tool to ensure the digital display is not obscured.
According to a recent report, the Casio G-Shock GBM-2100A-2B, GBM-2100A-4B and GBM-2100A-8B will be released in Japan on August 1st. Each watch will be available for ¥37,400 ($254), matching the RRP of the original models. At Hamilton Place, they are listed for $250; for context, in the US, the GBM-2100A-1B retails for $270. It is unclear when they will be released in this market.
