New day, new Casio leak. Just a year after Casio expanded its beloved “CasiOak” lineup with the GBM-2100 series, it looks like a big refresh might already be on the way. According to a new leak from the Japanese blog Great G-Shock World, the solar-powered, Bluetooth-equipped G-Shock is set to receive a fresh coat of paint this summer with the release of three new colorways.
The new G-Shock GBM-2100 watches will reportedly follow the footsteps of the originals launched in June 2024 and are expected to come equipped with a shiny metal case and a comfortable urethane band. The standout feature of the upcoming release, however, will be the dials. The report suggests that three new colors are planned, each featuring the eye-catching “unique metallic dial” that made the first batch popular. Great G-Shock World also alludes to new watch colors having a “cool shine,” so we can expect the upcoming lineup to feature a more distinct and refined aesthetic.
Casio has yet to announce anything officially, but we’re told the new colors are scheduled for a summer release and that a formal launch can take place as early as next month. Better yet, the price is expected to remain the same as the current GBM-2100 models. The GBM-B2100 lineup successfully carved out a niche for itself by offering the premium feel of a metal case while maintaining an accessible price point, and hopefully the new additions will continue that trend. As always, we’ll be keeping an eye out for official confirmation and will share any new details as they emerge.
Notably, this isn’t the only CasiOak lineup rumored to be getting a colorful refresh. As we reported last week, the full-metal G-Shock GM-B2100 series is also in line for a major overhaul and is expected to get three new variants later this year with meaningful design changes.
