New Anker Solix C800 Portable Power Station launching soon
The Anker Solix C800 Portable Power Station has been unveiled in Japan. The gadget and its sister model, the C800 Plus, were recently spotted on Australia's Good Design Awards website. The listing revealed a few details about the C800 series, which Anker has now confirmed. The gadget has a similar design to the Anker Solix C1000 but is more compact, measuring 371 x 250 x 205 mm (~14.6 x 9.8 x 8.1-in) and weighing 10.5 kg (~23.1 lbs).
The C800 has five AC outlets rated for 1,200W power, two USB-C, two USC-A and a car socket. The gadget has a 768Wh lithium-ion battery; the capacity allows you to charge an iPhone 15 48 times, a laptop around 12 times, or to power a fan for approximately 15 hours. You can fully recharge the Anker power station via AC in under an hour, thanks to HyperFlash technology. Charging options aside from AC are a 600W solar panel input or a 120W car cigarette socket. Unlike the C1000, the device is incompatible with an expansion battery and does not include the 200W AC SurgePad output.
Other features include a built-in LED lightbar and a storage compartment under the top lid. Plus, you can remotely control the device or view charging and power supply statuses in the Anker app, thanks to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Anker Solix C800 Portable Power Station will go on sale in Japan on November 21 for ¥99,990 (~US$669). It remains unclear when the device will reach other markets or how much it will cost.
