Analogue Pocket Classic Limited Edition: FPGA gaming handheld refreshed with Game Boy retro colours
Analogue has presented another limited run of the Pocket, its most successful device released to date. To recap, the company announced the 3D last month, a home game console using an FPGA chip to play Nintendo 64 games. However, the Analogue 3D will not be available until next year, with Analogue not even revealing the device's full design yet, let alone its specifications or pricing.
In the meantime, Analogue plans to sell the Classic Limited Edition series, which builds on August's 'Glow in the Dark' model and Transparent models that arrived roughly a month later. As always, Classic Limited Edition models will sell for US$249.99, price-matching the regular Analogue Pocket.
Likewise, Analogue has not confirmed how many Classic Limited Edition units it plans to sell. Instead, it has teased that the series will consist of eight options: blue, green, indigo, orange, pink, red, silver and yellow. Seemingly, Analogue has drawn inspiration from retro game consoles for these colours, including the Game Boy Advance for 'indigo'. The Analogue Pocket Classic Limited Edition will be available on November 17 at 16:00 UTC. Currently, Analogue hopes to start shipping units on November 20.
