Multitasking household robot promises to clean, patrol and carry stuff around your home
SwitchBot announced the K20+ Pro multitasking household robot at CES 2025 earlier this year. The product is now open for preorder directly from the company, with shipping expected to begin in late June.
Starting at $699.99 for the base package, the K20+ Pro also comes in various bundles at discounted prices, including the Air Purifier Kit for $910.99 and the Patrol Kit for $740.99.
Far more than just a robot vacuum, the SwitchBot K20+ Pro is a multifunctional smart home assistant capable of performing various household tasks, depending on the add-ons installed.
Cleaning is one of the SwitchBot K20+ Pro’s core functions. Equipped with a direct time-of-flight (DToF) radar and a triple-laser obstacle detection system, this compact robot not only keep floors clean but also doubles as a mobile indoor air quality monitor to help improve air cleanliness when paired with one of its air purifier attachments.
The multitasking household robot can also enhance home security. A smart indoor security camera can be mounted on top, allowing the robot to patrol designated areas.
Item transportation is another notable feature. The base platform that goes over the robot vacuum not only enables you to mount various add-ons but also provides a space for carrying items around your home, such as food and drinks. Thanks to its modular design, the Matter-compatible robot is poised to expand its capabilities with upcoming accessories, including an attachable tablet stand and a cordless vacuum that docks at the base station.
