MSI expects availability by the end of the month with display options that exactly match the GE76 Raider. If you've handled a GS66 before, then the new GS76 will feel very familiar.

Although mobile GeForce RTX 30 GPUs have been available for months, the MSI GS70 series was never properly updated to support them until today. The manufacturer has finally announced the GS76 complete with both 11th gen CPUs and Ampere GPUs to replace last year's GS75 with 10th gen CPUs and Turing GPUs.

Other than the processor updates, the GS76 also gets a full chassis revamp that ditches the design of the GS75 in favor of a look that more closely resembles the 15.6-inch GS66. Dimensions remain nearly identical gen-to-gen but with one key difference: the new GS76 is actually a hair thicker (20.25 mm vs. 19 mm) and heavier (2.45 kg vs. 2.28 kg) than the old GS75 which should hopefully lead to improved cooling potential. MSI says TGP levels will be 80 W plus 15 W of Dynamic Boost across the board from the RTX 3060 and up.

Additional display options are available as well from 1080p up to 4K with various native refresh rates and color coverages. Unlike Razer, MSI seems comfortable sticking with matte IPS as no MSI G series laptop thus far carries OLED or glossy touchscreens.

Pre-orders are set to open this week with prices starting at $1999 USD for the i7-11800H, FHD, and RTX 3060 up to $3999+ for the i9-11900H, 4K UHD, and RTX 3080.
