Lenovo announces ThinkPad X13 G5 launch pricing for new Intel Core Ultra laptop
Lenovo is now selling the ThinkPad X13 Gen 5 (G5), a week or so after adding the laptop to its Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) database. As we discussed at the time, Lenovo has brought various upgrades to the ThinkPad X13 series, including Intel Meteor Lake H processors and a new 64 GB of RAM option. However, Lenovo dropped last year's optional 2.8K OLED display, leaving the default WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) IPS option instead.
In a press release, Lenovo states that the ThinkPad X13 G5 will start next month at $1,239. By contrast, the ThinkPad 2-in-1 X13 G5 will be available for $1,399, albeit only significantly more expensive SKUs are available at the time of publication. The same is true for the ThinkPad X13 G5, which is currently running at 52% higher than Lenovo's press release suggests.
Specifically, the ThinkPad X13 G5 starts at $1,889 for the time being with a Core Ultra 5 125U processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5-7500 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe Gen4 SSD. Other processor options are available at launch though, with Core Ultra 5 135U, Core Ultra 7 155U and Core Ultra 7 165U options priced at $2,059, $2,409 and $2,609, respectively. Please note that Lenovo should be bringing Core Ultra 5 125H and Core Ultra 7 155H SKUs to market soon, although it remains to be seen when that will be the case. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
