Lenovo has launched the ThinkBook 16p Gen 6, a high-performance laptop aimed at professionals and creative users. This notebook succeeds the ThinkBook 16p Gen 5, which was unveiled in early 2024. It features Intel Core Ultra HX-series processors and Nvidia RTX GPUs. The laptop is built for demanding workloads like 3D rendering, video editing, and AI-assisted tasks.
The ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 includes a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI-based automation and workflow optimization. The 180W TDP, which can reach 200W in boost mode, should be great for faster multitasking and rendering.
The 16-inch 3.2K display is factory-calibrated with X-Rite color accuracy and includes low blue light certification. Connectivity options include USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and an SD card reader. The new refresh comes with Wi-Fi 7, which is an improvement over Wi-Fi 6E on last year's model. The laptop comes equipped with a dual-fan cooling system designed to manage thermals effectively.
The ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 has an aluminum chassis with a hinge-mounted module. The keyboard includes a full-size numpad. The left side houses an SD card reader, two USB-A ports, and a Kensington lock slot. The right side includes a USB-A port, two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports, a headphone jack, and a HDMI port. The rear features large exhaust vents for heat dissipation.
We can expect Lenovo to reveal official pricing and availability info for the ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 in the coming days post MWC 2025.
