Innocn has stepped into the 500Hz QD-OLED race with a new gaming monitor that appears to use the same panel as the Samsung Odyssey OLED G60SF and MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50. It’s currently listed on Amazon for $1,049.99, but buyers can bring the price down to $799.99 using a $250 coupon on the product page.
500Hz refresh rate for competitive gamers
The Innocn GA27M1Q is a 27-inch gaming monitor that pairs a 1440p resolution with a crazy fast 500Hz refresh rate. It uses Samsung’s new QD-OLED panel, so its specs are largely similar to other 500Hz models already on the market. Specifically, it covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, offers a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, and is certified under the DisplayHDR 500 tier.
In addition to the 500Hz refresh rate, Innocn advertises a 0.03ms response time, which should deliver excellent motion clarity with less blooming around bright objects. It also supports both FreeSync and G-Sync variable refresh rate to prevent screen tearing. Other highlights include a MAC-VIEW mode that aims to match colors when used with a MacBook. There is no USB-C port, though.
Speaking of which, the Innocn GA27M1Q comes with dual HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and an audio jack. Like the Samsung and MSI alternatives, DSC is required to hit its maximum 500Hz refresh rate.
The Innocn GA27M1Q is available now on Amazon for a special launch price of $799.99. That puts it between the Samsung Odyssey OLED G60SF (curr: $849.99 on Amazon) and the MSI MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50 (curr: $749.99 on Newegg).
