Rumor | Huawei P60 series sells out after just a few days of pre-orders
With initial pre-orders reported to end prematurely in a total dearth of inventory and reports of 10-day shipping delays for those lucky enough to have actually bought one, this might be the story of what happened when the iPhone 13 series went on the market. However, this new report allegedly pertains to the availability of Huawei's new P60 series in China.
The latest word on the new HarmonyOS flagships is that they are now completely out of stock following their March 30, 2023 release to pre-order, whether offline or online. The devices are the OEM's inaugural candy-bar devices with Beidou 2-way satellite connectivity as well as the latest XMAGE variable-aperture camera.
However, their apparent popularity is also now attributed to their new Rococo White colorway, touted to exhibit a mother-of-pearl sheen that varies from unit to unit. Then again, the smartphones' foldable Mate X3 counterpart is also now sold out via channels such as JD.com without it. It will be interesting to see if the P60 line can match this reported success on their global release.
