Geekom announces mini PCs with Intel Meteor Lake and AMD Hawk Point APUs
Geekom is gearing up for CES 2024. The brand will be unrolling curtains on three products at the event. These new mini PCs will be featuring the Intel Core Ultra 7 and AMD Hawk Point Ryzen chipsets.
To be specific, the IT 14 Pro will be packing the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, which boasts the Intel Arc 8-core iGPU. The mini PC will also equip dual-channel DDR5 RAM and dual SSDs. Geekom says that the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) inside the system will change the way you interact with it.
Then, there’s the A8 Max, which will be available with two different CPU options: AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS and Ryzen 9 8940HS. Like the new Intel Meteor Lake CPUs, these come with NPUs, which will accelerate the AI performance of the mini PC. Geekom teased that the Zen 4 CPU cores with Radeon 780M iGPU will make the system well capable of handling different workloads.
Lastly, Geekom will be unveiling the APro8 Max mini PC at CES 2024. It’s designed specifically for gaming, and it sports the Ryzen 9 8940H chipset and an AMD RX 7600M XT dedicated GPU. This discrete GPU delivers a similar level of performance to the RTX 4060 (GIGABYTE RTX 4060Ti curr. $409.99 on Amazon) and can run most AAA games smoothly at medium to high settings.
Moreover, the Geekom APro8 Max packs AMD SmartShift tech, making the mini PC capable of dynamically switching power between the GPU and CPU as needed. So, besides gaming, it has the potential to excel in other resource-intensive tasks such as 3D rendering and video editing.
