Garmin has pushed out a new update to beta testers of its latest high-end smartwatches. Designed to resolve another round of device crashes, the new update should also fix an issue that prevented ABI sensors from correctly sending data to Tactix 8 smartwatches in some instances.

Garmin has returned to Fenix 8 series software development after releasing Software Version 15.31 last month. To recap, the company rolled out v15.31 to resolve less than a month ago after over a month of beta development. Initially, the company had hoped that v15.31 would be the final update in its v15.xx development cycle. However, that has not proven to be the case.

Instead, Garmin has now introduced a new update to its public beta testers that it is distributing as Beta Version 15.32. For the time being, Garmin has not indicated when this update will transition to its stable software development branch. The fact that Beta Version 15.32 should have reached almost all beta testers suggests that a stable rollout should occur sooner rather than later, though.

According to Garmin, Beta Version 15.32 addresses two bugs that have been shipping in recent beta and stable builds. On the one hand, the new software should fix an issue that was preventing ABI sensors from sending data correctly to Tactix 8 smartwatches (curr. $1,299 on Amazon). On the other hand, and more importantly, the new update should resolve a bug that could result in an Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 or Tactix 8 smartwatch from crashing after dismissing an Action Menu in a CIQ App. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
