Colorful intros AMD Strix Halo mini PC with top-end Radeon 8060S iGPU

Colorful showcased the Smatr 900 back at Computex 2025, and the mini PC has now been somewhat detailed by the company. This new Strix Halo mini PC packs the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which is the top-end offering in the lineup with the current most capable RDNA 3.5 iGPU.

To be specific, it features the Radeon 8060S iGPU, which has 40 compute units (CUs), and AMD claims that it can outperform the Nvidia RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. Colorful paired it with 96 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. While the company didn't share the max storage support of the mini PC, per the recent teaser pictures, it has the following port configuration:

• 2x USB4
• 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
• 1x DisplayPort
• 1x HDMI
• 1x Ethernet
• 1x SD 4.0 card slot

As for the chassis, Colorful highlights that it's made of high-quality aluminum and has a volume of 4.0 liters. The teaser images show vent holes on the sides and the back. It's unclear what the cooling setup is like, but judging by the size of the chassis and the vents, it seems that Smatr 900 will feature a capable cooler.

There's still no word about when this AMD Strix Halo mini PC will be available to purchase, and the price tag of the system is also unknown. However, it's worth noting that the GMKtec EVO-X2 with the same Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU starts at $1,499 in the global market (128 GB RAM + 2 TB SSD variant curr. $1999.99 on Amazon with coupon).
