Amazfit Helio Arm Band accessory now available

The official Amazfit Helio Arm Band has arrived in some countries. As its name suggests, this hotly anticipated accessory is designed for the recently released Helio Strap fitness tracker wristband (curr. $99.99 at Amazon).

Amazfit’s Helio Arm Band allows users to wear the tracker on their upper arm instead of their wrist. According to the company, positioning the wearable here will “deliver cleaner, more consistent readings”, as the BioTracker sensor is placed closer to the heart. Plus, it should reduce any interference caused by wrist movements like flexion or extension. On top of this, it could also be more comfortable for users. 

The black band is made from a quick drying, soft-touch nylon, measuring 22 mm (~0.9 inches) wide. It is 16.1 inches (~410 mm) long, and is said to fit those with an arm circumference between 9.8 and 16.5 inches (~250 and 420 mm). The product page indicates that the adjustable velcro strap should stay in place even during intense exercise. To switch between the wrist and arm bands, users must simply detach the sensor from the central holder and click it into place, sensor facing down, on the second accessory.

You can now buy the Amazfit Helio Arm Band in the US and the UK for $14.99/£14.90. It is unclear when it will arrive in other European countries. Plus, we are still awaiting the launch of new colorways of the Helio Strap.
