The Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch could be launching in the US this summer. The wearable was launched in China earlier in May as a successor to the original Balance with several upgrades.
Now, a screenshot of an email conversation with the Amazfit support team, shared by Reddit user u/PerspectiveGlad3870, has revealed more information about a US launch. According to the Amazfit representative, while there is no official US release date for the Balance 2 smartwatch, it could arrive in this market “in the next month or two”. This somewhat aligns with comments made by Zepp Health’s C-level executives during a recent call to discuss the company’s Q1 financial results, pointing to more product releases in 2025.
The Amazfit Balance 2 has a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected with sapphire crystal glass, an upgrade on the original model. Another hardware upgrade is the dual speakers and a larger battery, with the latter said to provide up to 21 days of battery life with typical use. The chipset matches that of the T-Rex 3, and it runs Zepp OS 5.
Features include GPS tracking, support for offline maps, music storage and advanced running dynamics such as vertical amplitude and ground contact time. Plus, it is waterproof to 10 ATM, with an upcoming update expected to bring a scuba diving mode. In China, the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch retails for CNY 2,199 (~$305). Pricing and exact release date for the US have yet to be announced. It is also unclear when this model will arrive in other markets like Europe.
