An earlier leak said AMD would mirror Nvidia's strategy and offer the Radeon RX 9060 XT in two versions: one with 8 GB VRAM and the other with 16 GB. Videocardz has now confirmed this speculation via their sources and shed more light on what AMD's upcoming mid-rangers have in store. The graphics card is expected to drop sometime in Q2 2025, likely with its non-XT variant.
While not officially confirmed, one can reasonably assume the RX 9060 XT will use a Navi 44 GPU, although there is at least one leak that says it might be Navi 48, with the former being reserved for its non-XT counterpart and lower. Regardless, both versions will use 20 Gbps GDDR6 VRAM modules on a 128-bit bus; half of that on the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070.
Given its somewhat anaemic specs, the RX 9060 XT won't demand much power. Apparently, a 500 Watt PSU will be enough to power it via one 8-pin connector. For I/O, there are two DP2.1a ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. However, the main factor that will determine its performance, its CU count, remains unknown. 48 would be ideal, but if it is a Navi 44 GPU, that number could be lower.
