In case this flew under your radar, Fate Trigger is an upcoming 3D anime‑style hero‑based tactical shooter developed with Unreal Engine 5, which features PvP battles across floating island arenas. Available across PC, mobile (in the near future), and consoles (like the PS5 Slim - curr. $499 on Amazon), the game will come with cross-platform support and is already drawing comparisons to other team-based shooters for its flashy visuals and gameplay dynamics.
Fate Trigger is built around a team-vs-team structure, where players pick from a growing roster of characters known as "Awakeners." Each Awakener brings a distinct combat style and skill set to the mix. The beta features three PvP modes - Awakener Trials, Rapid Trials, and Team Deathmatch - across arenas such as Helix Arena, The Factory, and The Armory.
System requirements on PC are relatively accessible for a game of this genre. The minimum specs call for an Intel i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700 paired with a GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 580 and 8 GB of RAM. Recommended specs bump that up to an i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 5600 with a RTX 2060 or RX 5600 XT and 16 GB RAM. Please note that the devs have stated that the system requirements for the Closed Beta Test may not reflect the final system requirements when the full game is launched.
Pre-registration for the CBT is open on the game’s official website, Steam, Discord, and through Twitch Drops. The developers have also implemented anti-cheat protections using AI monitoring during the test period. Fate Trigger already has a major achievement under its belt, having already surpassed 200,000 wishlists on Steam, which in itself is a strong indicator of how widely anticipated this game is.
Regardless, we can't say for sure whether Fate Trigger can sustain its momentum, but the beta phase should be a solid metric for the same. However, its early visuals, combat mechanics, and hero depth could make it stand out amongst other anime-themed shooters in the category, like Nikke: Goddess of Victory, even though the gameplay style (and mechanic) is wildly different here.
