Reviews for the ZTE Axon Elite

85% ZTE Axon Elite Smartphone Review | Notebookcheck
Flagship with some issues. The ZTE Axon Elite is the current flagship device from the Chinese manufacturer in the European market. At a first glance, it ticks all the right boxes with 4K video recording, fingerprint scanner and a very powerful processor. However, a closer inspection reveals some drawbacks.
80% ZTE Axon Elite – Review
Source: Cool Smartphone English Archive.org version
During the time with the ZTE Axon Elite, I have been part impressed with ZTE and part frustrated. For the most part, everything feels thought out and well-put together. The ability to tweak and change the wallpapers and themes was a lot more fun than it really should be. Yet, trying to set it up to the way I liked it felt like a chore, not a pleasure. The ringtone is nice and loud, but it’s louder than I want for longer than I want. It’s nice to hold in the hand, but in use it kept feeling that little bit slippery when I was trying to work one-handed.

90% ZTE Axon Elite review: ZTE takes security to the next level with the Axon Elite smartphone
Source: Tech Advisor English Archive.org version
The ZTE Axon Elite has great specs and some interesting tech at an excellent price, but while we appreciate many users will love the design we aren't entirely taken by it - especially the fake-leather parts on the rear. If you can't get the OnePlus 2, this is a close second best - and much easier to get hold of.

Model: Premium and elegant, the ZTE Axon Elite will certainly turn heads when in use. ZTE has certainly upped their game in their smartphone design. The ZTE Axon Elite chassis is made from a combination of aerospace aluminum alloy body and high quality leatherette. Teaming up TEAGUE, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Design Team, the ZTE Axon Elite features a curved back for good ergonomics and a unique triangle pattern grill on the front side, which also acts as a heat dissipator. The smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 810 octa-core setup utilizing a Cortex-A53 and Cortex-A57 chip. It also comes with 3 GB of RAM, an Adreno 430 GPU and 32 GB of internal storage with the ability to use a microSD card up to 128 GB.

The 5.5 inch IPS LCD display provides superb clarity and color saturation. The ZTE Axon Elite comes with a 13 MP and 2 MP dual-camera setup that is claimed to be almost DSLR-like in performance and a 8 MP front camera. Other features on the ZTE Axon Elite are Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, a fingerprint scanner, NFC, and microUSB 2.0. The ZTE Axon Elite sports a non-removable Lithium-Ion battery rated at 3000 mAh and comes in beautiful Ion Gold.

Qualcomm Adreno 430: Integrated smartphone and tablet GPU that supports OpenGL ES 3.1 and DirectX 11.2 (FL 11_1). The graphics card has 192 unified shaders clocked at up to 650 MHz.

Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.

5.50":

It is a very small display format for smartphones. You should by no means be mis-sighted and you will generally see very little on the screen and only have a small resolution available. In return, the device should be very small and handy.
