Reviews for the ZTE Nubia Z50

Nubia Z50 Review -Inexpensive Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Phone that is surprisingly good
Source: G Style Magazine English
Spending the past couple of weeks with the Nubia Z50 is a capable mid-ranger that has a nice amount of power behind it. Its display allows you to watch daily content and navigate a breeze but its OS I’m not a major fan of. Also tied in with this being a China variant and not being able to access some apps. Picture taking should satisfy those wanting to snap a photo here and there. It could be a more compelling phone if ZTE could take it under its wing in the U.S. and add competition to the phone market. I was able to pop in my T-Mobile sim and get service FYI. Otherwise, it’s going for $549 and only available internationally.

ZTE Nubia Z50 Smartphone Review

The ZTE Nubia Z50 is an exceptional phone that offers powerful performance and good specs combination at a quite decent range. Plus, it covered a display, impressive refresh rate, faster processing speed, beautiful camera results, long-lasting battery life, good sound, and so on. These factors already make this phone attractive, while there’s no denying that the 128GB storage variant is a value-for-money deal. But like many ZTE phones, it’s not 100% possible that this device will appear on the global stage. Finally, if the device is not available in your country, check other alternatives. For a similar deal, we would suggest you go with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer if you want amazing camera results and robust performance.

The ZTE Nubia Z50 offers a dual camera setup including a 64MP standard camera with OIS support and a 50MP ultrawide camera lens. The camera quality is amazing in daylight, while the main camera record up to 8K videos. But there’s no video stabilization, while for the selfie there’s a 16MP camera lens is present. Qualcomm Adreno 740: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 25% faster than the Adreno 730 in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and first benchmarks show that the GPU can beat the Apple A16 iGPU (previously the fastest smartphone GPU).

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

SD 8 Gen 2: High-end SoC for smartphones that was introduced in late 2022 with a fast prime core based on a ARM Cortex-X3 architecture clocked at up to 3.2 GHz. Two more performance cores are based on the A715 and also support only 64 bit applications. The two additional A710 cores support also 32 bit applications as do the power saving Cortex-A510 cores. In addition to the processor cores, the SoC integrates a WiFi 7 modem, a Hexagon DSP (for AI acceleration) and a Spectra ISP. The integrated memory controller supports fast LPDDR5x memory with up to 4,200 MHz. 5G is included in the chip with the Snapdragon X70 modem.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
