The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate smartphone is one of the best smartphones that the company would offer this year. Unlike their standard mid-range phone, this phone is designed for premium end users, while it also provides superb camera quality better than the initial expectations. From start to end, we don’t find that many downsides to this phone. You are getting a pretty decent deal as a complete flagship package. There are only a handful of phones that can give tough competition to this phone, which includes the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus or OnePlus 11. But at the same time, the phone is currently exclusive to the Chinese smartphone market, the company doesn’t give a clear green flag regarding the launch on the global stage. In that case, we would suggest you look at a choice in the same price range in the meantime.

In March 2023, the Honor smartphone company announced its flagship-level smartphone known as Honor Magic 5 ultimate. The Honor Magic 5 Ultimate runs on the latest Android 13 operating system with MagicOS 7.1 UI. Performance on the Honor Magic 5 Ultimate is carried out by the 4nm Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset capable of reaching up to a 1×3.2 GHz clocking speed. This phone has a 6.6 inches Full HD+ screen and weighs around 217 g. Talking about the display, it comes with an LTPO OLED display with 1B colors, HDR10+, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1800 nits brightness. The display is also protected by the ceramic coating and IP68 dust and water resistance. Qualcomm Adreno 740: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 25% faster than the Adreno 730 in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and first benchmarks show that the GPU can beat the Apple A16 iGPU (previously the fastest smartphone GPU). 

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

SD 8 Gen 2: High-end SoC for smartphones that was introduced in late 2022 with a fast prime core based on a ARM Cortex-X3 architecture clocked at up to 3.2 GHz. Two more performance cores are based on the A715 and also support only 64 bit applications. The two additional A710 cores support also 32 bit applications as do the power saving Cortex-A510 cores.
