LG has reduced another high-end gaming monitor under its UltraGear series. The UltraGear 27GP95R-B has a Nano-IPS panel with a default 144 Hz refresh rate. However, LG allows the UltraGear 27GP95R-B to be overclocked to 160 Hz, which combines with a native 4K resolution, 1 ms response times and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification.

Amazon US and LG have discounted the UltraGear 27GP95R-B, which is functionally similar to the UltraGear 27GP950-B that the pair recently discounted. Not only has the former received a greater reduction though, but it is also priced lower than the latter while retaining the lion share of its features. Specifically, the UltraGear 27GP95R-B has a 27-inch Nano IPS panel that outputs at 4K with 1 ms response times (GtG) and 144 Hz. The monitor can be overclocked to 160 Hz, although this is only possible via DisplayPort.

Alternatively, the UltraGear 27GP95R-B can output at 4K and 120 Hz via HDMI 2.1. The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC too, which are both befitting a modern gaming monitor. LG claims that the UltraGear 27GP95R-B is also VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified, which has 600 nits peak brightness as one of its requirements. For some reason, LG refers to the monitor as being capable of producing 400 nits peak brightness, which is the same for the UltraGear 27GP950-B.

Additionally, the UltraGear 27GP95R-B offers 98% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and various proprietary gaming features like an FPS counter, Crosshair and Black Stabilizer. At the time of writing, both retailers have discounted the UltraGear 27GP95R-B to below US$550. However, while LG is currently selling the monitor for US$549.99, a US$250 and 31.2% saving, Amazon has dropped the price by another US$3 to US$546.99. As a result, Amazon US claims to have discounted the UltraGear 27GP95R-B by 32%, the monitor's lowest price in the last 30 days. Seemingly, Amazon US has actually taken the UltraGear 27GP95R-B to its lowest price ever, which it does not mention on its website.
