Deal | LG UltraGear 27GP950-B gaming monitor receives over US$250 discount
Amazon US and LG have cut almost 30% off the LG UltraGear 27GP950-B, a 27-inch gaming monitor that debuted in 2021. While the monitor does not utilise OLED panels like newer UltraGear gaming monitors, the UltraGear 27GP950-B supports modern standards like HDMI 2.1 and is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified. Additionally, the IPS panel operates natively at 3,840 x 2,160 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio with 400 cd/m² peak brightness and 98% DCI-P3 colour space coverage.
Moreover, LG promises 1 ms response times (GtG), AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, factory colour calibration and plenty of built-in gaming features like an FPS counter. By default, the UltraGear 27GP950-B operates at 144 Hz when connected to a device via its DisplayPort 1.4 port. However, LG allows the monitor to be overclocked to 160 Hz. Alternatively, it is possible to game on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X at 4K and 120 FPS.
Typically, LG sells the UltraGear 27GP950-B for US$899.99. Both it and Amazon US have discounted the monitor heavily, though. As always, Amazon US has gone slightly further than its competitors. Specifically, LG has discounted the UltraGear 27GP950-B to US$649.99, a US$250 saving. Amazon US has shaved another US$3 off though, taking its reduction to 28%.
