iQOO will launch a mid-range version of its Z1 on July 9, 2020
iQOO has announced that its new addition to the Z1 series of phones will debut later in July 2020. According to recent leaks, this one will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor, whereas the flagship has the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. Its mid-range sibling may also have a 6.57-inch FHD display and triple rear cameras.
Some recent tips have pointed to an upcoming phone called the iQOO Z1x, as opposed to the flagship Z1 that launched earlier in 2020. Now, the Vivo sub-brand has affirmed this name, and has confirmed that it will launch 5 days from today (July 4, 2020). However, online reservations for the same device are now open through the Chinese retailer eSuning.
Then again, this new page fails to yield any official new details on this phone, besides what appear to be special or promotional offers connected to Z1x pre-orders. Nevertheless, its latest leaks indicate that they will be placed for units with 6 or 8GB of RAM and 64 to 256GB of internal storage.
The original Z1 was the first phone to rock the Dimensity 1000+ chipset. However, its new series-mate is apparently destined for a Qualcomm SoC instead that will (of course) make it 5G. Besides this, the Z1x is also thought to get 48+2+2MP rear cameras, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that hints at LCD in its FHD+ screen.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
