iPhone event could be on September 9th

Teaser
Those looking to upgrade to the next iPhone could be in luck in early September.

Over the years, Apple has come to be known as a rather predictable company in terms of release dates, and some believe that the next iPhone will be unveiled on September 9th. The information comes from Buzzfeed, which claims to have gotten the tip from sources close to Apple. According to the source, Apple will also be showing off some other new products that have been subject to much speculation.

Besides the iPhone 6S, there is the expectation that the company will announce the existence of an iPad Pro, a larger iPad with more functionalities and a bigger screen. Apple's iPad usually has its own event a month after the iPhone announcement, though considering the declining revenue from the product, the company may feel it no longer warrants its own separate unveiling. Also rumored to be announced on September 9th is the latest Apple TV, something that many believed would be announced in past events.

With all the expected announcements during one event comes a lot of new technology and a lot of hype as well. Apple generally does not talk about the date of the event until just a week beforehand, so all of this is speculation. Seeing as Apple has held its iPhone event in September that past nine years, however, it is a pretty safe bet that it will be sometime next month.
